Hey modlies. :3

I'm looking for a home for my Wild Child, I'm interested in possibly trying here. I've been playing him for years and would really like to go back to early Alpha Flight days and walk him through the near-insanity to where he gets a better grip on himself, this seems like an interesting place to do it. However, I'm kind of worried about the school aspect of the game. I... kind of hate school settings, and I can't see Gibs working at any point in time having to sit through classes/study/do other school stuff. I'm wondering if it would be acceptable/possible to say that he was sent to Xaviers to try and get him under control and I can skip out on all the school stuff, or does this take place too early to allow for such? I could see him siding with Magneto for a while when the rift does occur, he's very good at flipping sides.

There's really not so much of a school feel, so much as there is a place for students to cope, and seek mentorship. Many of the students will be out of high school, and thus if they seek to further their education is up to them. Some will have part time jobs, a few of the younger students could even attend a public high school. There's no faculty at Xavier's yet; just two men in their mid/late 40's, and a bunch of young adults running amok, learning to cope, seeking guidance, and being surrounded with the fact that all of them know there are others like them. :)

Wild Child would be interesting, definitely. I hope all of this answers your question. If you need more clarification, let me know!

I had to make sure, I read "school" and "Evolution" and got worried. =P

I'm mostly trying to figure out how I could get him down to NY, as he would be up in Canada and probably one step from being put down for being too dangerous. Also, given his history, would it be possible to say that he was, at one point, in the hands of the Empire (or Weapon X for the sake of conciseness, since they basically were attempting the same thing) without truly mentioning them? I rather like the bit in his history how he did not really mutate feral/ugly until after he was experimented on.

Haha, nope. School is on those who'd like to attend! Not mandatory. :P

Perhaps we can set up a plot. Maybe Erik was in the area, and thus tried to recruit him? However if that doesn't work, Weapon X could be fine. Ambiguity is good, too. Keep in mind these are undeveloped young adults, and won't be to their comic potential just yet. :)

But anyway, that sounds fine!

Sounds good, I'm working on getting the application together right now. I'm going to leave the 'who' out of who it was that grabbed him, just say that he was grabbed, it can be easily worked in later on. Gibs will be totally undeveloped, just coming out of his feral grrr madness stage. I'll toss the app in a bit, and I'll be happy to edit how he ended up at the manor however you all think will best fit.
